ShareBite is a community marketplace for sharing free, low-cost, or discounted food. Users must register before requesting, offering, messaging, rating, or listing food.

Provider Responsibilities

Food providers are responsible for accurate listings, safe handling, allergen disclosure, storage, pickup windows, price accuracy, and compliance with local food, tax, and business rules. Providers must complete applicable identity verification before publishing offers.

Food Safety

Users must not list recalled, spoiled, tampered, unsafe, illegally sourced, or misrepresented food. Homemade, cooked, raw, store-bought, surplus, and discounted items must be labeled clearly.

Transactions

Food may be free, low-cost, discounted, pickup-only, delivery-supported, or fulfilled by a delivery company. ShareBite should not release payment or completion status until both sides have had a chance to confirm the exchange.

Community Conduct

Harassment, discrimination, fraud, spam, unsafe pickup behavior, and retaliation for ratings or reports are not allowed. Users may report listings or accounts for review.

Important Notice

This template must be reviewed by counsel before public launch, especially because food sharing, identity verification, delivery, low-price sales, and ratings can trigger local legal obligations.
